RAVES From The Grave celebrated the 11th annual Record Store Day on Saturday 13th April, a day launched in support of independent record shops.
The shop celebrated that over 500 titles were released this year exclusively for independent record shops.
Tom and Richard at Raves From The Grave said, “2019 was our 11th year taking part in the Record Store Day celebrations, and the first in our new shop on King Street.
“Record fans were queueing from as early as 2.30am, and there were about 100 queuers by 9am, to get their hands on this year’s limited releases, which included titles from The Specials, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Prince & many more!
“Record Store Day is our busiest day of the year by a considerable distance, and brings a the most fantastic atmosphere to the shop – this year also saw a DJ set from Ishmael Ensemble, and live performance from Americana singer/songwriter & producer Ethan Johns – who had a limited release on the day with his band – The Black Eyed Dogs.
“Our Warminster shop also took part in the celebrations, and had local singer/songwriter Henry Wacey perform live in store.”
