Veteran rock band Wishbone Ash will perform at the Cheese and Grain this Saturday, 25th October, as part of their tour to mark the 55th anniversary of their headline appearance at the Reading Festival.
With multi-award-winning guitarist Andy Powell still at the helm, the band has been cited as a major influence by such luminaries as Iron Maiden, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Halen and Metallica, among others.
Organisers say, “Their popularity has never waned over the ensuing years; they continue to wow audiences worldwide with their blistering live performances.
“Never resting on their laurels, they continue to record, with a back catalogue to die for, including over 30 albums to their credit. However, they are best known for their dynamic live show, featuring all their classic hits, including ‘Blowin’ Free’, ‘The King Will Come’ and ‘Blind Eye’, never failing to deliver a dynamite performance for their legions of fans old and new.
“A totally unmissable show!”
With support from acoustic duo Ethemia, music starts at 8pm. To book tickets, visit the Cheese and Grain’s website: https://www.cheeseandgrain.com/events/wishbone-ash/
