Sat. 2nd July Att: 235. Pre-season friendly Frome Town 2 Salisbury 3
FROME Town’s pre-season friendlies kicked off last week with a strong performance against Salisbury in the pouring rain.
The teams both rung the changes throughout the lively game. Salisbury took the lead in the first half only to see James Ollis bought down in the box and Luke Hopper step up to score from the spot to draw the teams level.
The second half saw Salisbury add two more while James Ollis scored for Town to make the crowd of 235 confident of finding a late equaliser. But with chances for both teams going begging, the score remained the same as the game finished 3-2.
Next up are Southampton ‘B’ at the Hill (Saturday 9th July) when Town look forward to entertaining the Premier League stars of the future.
