Springmead school has been celebrating its nursery nurse’s success this week.
“Johanna Robinson was one of our very first pupils at Springmead in 2002,” explained the school. “She has just completed her early years apprenticeship with us and has done so well she has been selected by Grow Somerset Talent as Apprentice Champion of the Year in an award ceremony at Haynes Motor Museum!
“The judges were very impressed by her commitment to her level 3 qualification where she achieved Distinction. Johanna has shown her ‘above and beyond’ attitude by leading the School Council committee which aligns beautifully with her passion of listening and respecting children’s view. In addition, she has set up an Early Years page for the Nursery and Reception on Instagram, ‘Little Springmead’ to enable parents to link in with their child’s activities, share our good practice, aims and values.
“At the ceremony Johanna gave an impressive speech. She has been approached by the Young Apprentice Ambassador Network to represent Somerset Skills and Learning to inspire others. A huge well done to Johanna from us at Springmead, we are immensely proud of her achievements.”
