TWENTY-five students from Steiner Academy in Frome travelled to the O2 Arena in London to take part in ‘Young Voices 2018’.
Young Voices 2018 is the largest youth choir in the world and the event gave the Frome students the chance to perform in front of 20,000 people alongside celebrities such as MOBO award nominee, Natalie Williams, and a cappella band, The M4gnets.
The academy reports, “The children had to learn the words to over 20 songs, old and new, as well as dance routines. Andy Instone, the artistic director, pointed out a couple of the teachers, Alan and Francis, dancing so enthusiastically in the rehearsals and praising them for being positive teachers, helping to create positive children.
“Our children certainly were positive, and thoroughly enjoyed this unforgettable days. Once they finally returned to Frome in the early hours of the morning, the children were still excited.”
Coral, a student at Steiner said, “my ears are still ringing!”
Lou Lou said, “I loved singing with thousands of other children, it gave me a great feeling of being united.”
