We’re getting the band back together! South-West favourites The Blues Others are heading back to the Cheese and Grain next month, with their unmistakable blues classic and sweet soul tunes.
The 13-piece Bath band formed in 2008 and quickly became recognised as the No. 1 Blues Brothers tribute band.
They have played prestigious venues in the South-West, the UK and across Europe and on Friday 1st November, the band are heading back to Frome, almost a year to the day after bringing their unforgettable party to town last year.
Blues Others frontmen Mark and Steve said, “We are delighted to be heading back to Frome after such a great evening last year. We are extremely proud to be one of the few Blues Brothers tribute acts in the country to pay homage to the film by faithfully reproducing all-time classics such as Everybody Needs Somebody, Soul Man, Gimme’ Some Lovin’, Shake a Tail Feather and Rawhide, complete with a full horn section, driving rhythm section and backing singers.”
A spokesperson for the show, Olivia Dimery, said, “Everybody of a certain age remembers the lines, ‘It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses… Hit it!’, uttered by John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd as Jake and Elwood Blues in the 1980 all-time hit film The Blues Brothers.
“In addition to the blues and soul anthems you would expect, there will also be floor-filling hits from the likes of The Commitments and Aretha Franklin.
“The show is suitable for all the family age 10+. Slip on your shades and come shake your tail feather!”
Tickets cost £18.50 in advance (+ service charge) available from www.cheeseandgrain.com or the box office on 01373 455420 .
