FROME’S very own Faerie Fair will be held at the South Parade Club, 7a South Parade on the following Saturdays: 30th March, 4th May and 22nd June, with doors open at 10am.
Organisers say, “Word has reached us that Her Gratious Majesty The Fairy Queen, Empress of the Selwood and Chatelaine of the Wild Lands, has assented to grant Frome a new charter allowing the town to hold ten Faerie Fairs a year, in return for payment of three wishes and a good deed for each.
“All are welcome, even humans! Please wear a fairy, witchy, or wizardy costume. There will be prizes for the best fantasy costume. This is a family-friendly event, and entry is free. Doors close at 4pm. There will be all manner of stalls and entertainments, watch this space! There may even be a dragon.”
