IN early October, The Woodlanders will again be taking to the stage for their annual Variety Show at the East Woodlands Village Hall.

They are pleased to welcome a new member to the group, Andy Hardy, who plays ukulele and harmonica and is also a member of The Frukes.
The Woodlanders chair, Sandra Gaisford, said, “We are so happy to have Andy with us. He will be appearing in one of the sketches, duetting with Graham Harding on a musical item and singing in the chorus numbers. We are now in the unusual position of having seven men and only four ladies performing on stage. Most groups such as ours have considerably more women than men in their line up so we are currently bucking the trend. If anyone would like to join our group we are always happy to welcome new talent, they have only to get in touch with me or any of The Woodlanders.
“This year we are keeping our very popular cabaret style table seating, with a discount for tables of four or more and will again be making the Saturday performance a matinee. The performance on Monday will be a preview with tickets at £8. Tickets for other performances will be £12. Shows will start at 7.45 pm and the matinee will be at 2pm. The Show will run from Monday 3rd to Saturday 8th October.”
Tickets are available from Sandra Gaisford by ringing, 07791 584402 or 01373 473538 or sandra.gaisford@sky.com
