Cancer counselling charity We Hear You are holding a ‘toddle waddle’ in Victoria Park on Tuesday 19th June from 10am to 12pm as part of Small Charities Week 2018.
The event is a scaled-down version of a charity fun run – pre-schoolers from across Frome are invited to sign up and join in a friendly and strictly non-competitive ‘race’ around the park. There will also be a range of family activities to enjoy afterwards.
Communications assistant Lucy McMahon says, “The toddle waddle is a mini fun run aimed at younger Fromies. There’s no charge for taking part, but we encourage our waddlers to seek sponsorship from family and friends, either by picking up a sponsorship form from us at the town hall or downloading one from our website.
“We’ll also be setting up an online fundraising page soon for those who’d prefer to donate that way. Every child who takes part will get a medal for their sporting efforts and there will be stalls and family activities to enjoy while they get their breath back.
“As always, the money raised will go towards providing free professional counselling to anyone affected by cancer or other life-threatening conditions from age four upwards, across Somerset, BANES and Wiltshire.”
