FromeFM is proud to add a new show to its varied output of music and talk programmes made by and for the local community.
The new show, Variations on a Theme, is presented by Frome resident Eleanor Talbot and airs on FromeFM 96.6 every Friday from 10am to 12 noon.
Eleanor said, “Variations on a Theme is a radio show that centres on a different theme each week, playing music that relates to the theme accompanied by interesting stories, facts and interviews. I often feature Frome and its interesting history and current goings-on, as well as interview a lot of Frome’s talented residents.
“Our deputy mayor, Andy Wrintmore, is a frequent guest as are other Frome notaries such as author Crysse Morrison, and many more.”
Irish born Eleanor moved to Frome two years ago and fell in love with the town straight away. Though it was through several decades of living in Calgary, Alberta that Eleanor became passionate about music. “It was in Canada that I developed my love of music as the winters are very long and nothing beats the blues like a jaunty tune,” said Eleanor.
Julian Crawley, chair of FromeFM said, “It’s great having Eleanor on board and we’re all really looking forward to hearing many more themes over the coming weeks and months.”
Variations on a Theme was first broadcast on Mixed Tape Radio International.
