THE Guide Dogs charity is recruiting volunteers in the Frome area to help continue to provide free services for the blind and partially sighted.
Volunteering coordinator specialist for Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Somerset Pat Janecka said, “Our ambition is for a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support to live their lives to the full and we will not rest until people who are blind and partially sighted can enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else.”
Midsomer Norton and Frome fundraising group is made up of a small number of volunteers from sighted, to guide dog owners and puppy raisers.
They would really like to encourage more people to help join them at collections and local events to raise the profile of the charity and how they help change lives for people living with sight loss. They also work closely with Bath fundraising group.
