PEOPLE in Frome are being asked to vote on the future of the toilets in Victoria Park.
The existing toilets are in a poor state and cost Frome Town Council around £20,000 a year to keep them open. The council is asking the public to decide whether they would like to keep the toilets in Victoria Park.
By voting no, the toilets would be closed and the building made secure to prevent access. The nearest toilets would then be located at Frome Town Hall on Park Road.
If yes, there are three options; refurbish the existing toilet building, replace the existing toilets or build entirely new facilities with a cafe incorporated.
Voting will open on Saturday 1st April and close on Sunday 16th April. You can vote online at www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/voteonvictoriaparktoilets/ You can also vote in person at the Town Hall.
The council has put together information sheets to help you make your decision. These cover each of the three options and artist’s impressions and illustrations of what they could look like.
If you’d like to discuss the vote or the options in person please call 01373 465757 to arrange a appointment in the new Town Hall.
