Year 2 children at Trinity First School had a treat recently when Chris Sperring MBE came to give a talk on owls.
Chris is a professional wildlife conservationist, working for the Hawk and Owl Trust and he also presents and broadcasts on TV and radio. Chris brought his tawny owl, Orion, with him to meet the children. The children have been studying owls and had lots of questions to ask Chris, who was very impressed with their knowledge and questioning skills.
Both Chris and the teachers shared their belief that it is important for future generations to stay connected to nature and help save the natural habitats of our plants and wildlife.
