In their new home in the Wallbridge area of Frome, Curves members are enjoying the same friendly, motivating and sociable atmosphere where women of all ages can workout to improve their fitness, tone-up and lose weight…and all in 30 minutes!

“The exercise circuit at Curves consists of hydraulic resistance machines for the upper and lower body and recovery stations, moving along every 30 seconds to music,” explains owner Sandra Van Russelt. “It’s a complete body workout that includes warmup, strength training, cardio, cool-down and stretching – which means you build the total-body strength that makes everyday activities so much easier.

“There are other benefits too…With regular strength training, you not only gain muscle but you also lose fat and the beauty of strength training is that it boosts fat burn even when you’re not exercising, through increasing your resting metabolism and by rebuilding muscles used. The resistance machines help to strengthen bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis and to support joints by developing the groups of muscles that surround them, easing joint pain.

“In addition, it has been shown that those who commit to regular resistance workouts have improved self-esteem… improvements in health, weight, mood and energy- all things to feel good about!

“Members agree, saying how their workouts keep them supple and fit, develops muscle strength and the gym provides a friendly, relaxed environment with great encouragement from their coaches. They are very happy with the move, appreciating the light, airy studio and also the available parking nearby.

“At Curves there is support every step of the way…making sure you feel confident in effectively using the equipment to get the most out of your workout. There are also extra HIIT classes you can take part in using just your body weight- expending extra energy and further developing muscle strength and tone.

“The coaches are always available to encourage members to be the best they can be and during September, there is no joining fee….so come along and see for yourselves!”

Healing You Ltd has been created by local Bach Flower & Reiki Practitioner Kirsty Wells, following her own experience of living with persistent physical pain and becoming increasingly interested in the relationship between our emotional, energetic and physical experiences.
