MUSICIANS from the Frome community will be coming together to support Frome Town Council’s twin-town refugee appeal, with a very special event taking place at 23 Bath street this Saturday!
Event organiser and singer, Emma Harris, has assembled over 20 musicians to take part in an evening of Folk, Blues, Funk and Soul. Artists and bands contributing to the event include Flash Harry, Emma Harris, Leander Morales, Al O’Kane, Pete Gage and Rivers Of England.
The event is being held at 23 Bath Street on Saturday 19th March, 7pm to 11pm, tickets by donation.
Organiser Emma Harris said, “It’s no surprise that within a few phone calls, we were able to simply create a whole evening of live entertainment. 23 Bath Street and all of the artists have in the past been on the front line of raising money for various charities. I was confident that this just needed a little coordination and to see who was available on the night.”
Frome Town Council’s £10,000 target has already reached over £27,000 since going live, with hundreds of people making generous donations to support the appeal. With more than 500 Ukrainian refugees arriving in Frome’s twin-town, it is expected that many more will arrive over the coming days and weeks.
Emma adds, “We understand that some people are going through financial hardship, and others have already contributed to this appeal, and many others. Whether you want to contribute £5 or £50 to attend the show, we would just love to see you there on Saturday. If you can’t make it, please donate and share this event with others.”
