Frome’s fourth annual Kindness Festival was blessed with blue skies and large, enthusiastic crowds keen to celebrate and explore the superpower of kindness.
Hundreds of people took part in 44 planned and pop-up events that ran all over the town from 15th to 22nd March, including comedy, music, dance, guided walks, workshops and discussion. Behind the scenes, volunteer-led assemblies took place in 13 Frome schools, reaching over 3,500 children and young people.
Festival themes included encouraging children to be kindness superheroes, celebrating the kindness both seen and unseen that already exists in the town, and taking a deep dive into the relationship between kindness and forgiveness.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this year’s festival such a success,” says the Good Heart team, who organise the event.
“Whether you were an event leader, a designer and maker, a musician or performer, chef or venue manager, or a member of our wonderful Kindness Crew, it couldn’t have happened without you. The Kindness Festival simply highlights the amazing kindness and community spirit that exists in Frome all year round. We’ve already started planning for 2026, so please reach out if you’d like to play a part.”
