THE Cheese & Grain is hosting a Christmas charity fair next week.
Organisers say, “This is an opportunity for local charities and not-for-profit organisations to raise those all-important funds. There will be tombolas, raffles, crafts, cakes, gifts and much more.”
Amongst the local organisations in attendance are Holy Trinity Church, Frome Save the Children, and Portway Methodist Church.
Portway Methodist Church say, “We will be having raffle prizes, sale of little wooden classroom chairs and other goods will be on sale, all the proceeds of sale to Portway Methodist Church in Frome. We look forward seeing you all there.”
Save the Children say, “Calling all parents and grandparents! Toys for the children at Christmas get more and more expensive, don’t they, especially when money is so tight these days?
“So why not come and visit the Save the Children stall. You’ll find our stall at the top of the hall just to the left of the stage and will be able to purchase gently loved or virtually brand new toys for a range of age groups at sensible prices. Among the many items to tempt you we have a lovely farm with lots of animals and also a full set of meccano.”
The fair is being held on Saturday 30th November, from 9.30am to 3pm. Admission is free.
