THE Memorial Theatre lineup is jam-packed with music and entertainment for the coming weeks.
Family Race Night with ‘hands-on’ races for all the family to enjoy on Saturday 30th September.
Instead of televised races, there will be wooden horses that will be reeled in by anyone who wishes to take part. Meet in the Paddock at 7pm, under starter’s orders at 7.30pm. Ticket are £5 to include a light buffet supper.
All tickets purchased online will incur a £1 per ticket processing fee.
On Saturday 7th October, ‘Whole Lotta Shakin’ – A tribute to the 80s Legend’ takes to the stage at 7.30pm.
This theatre production that pays homage to Shakin’ Stevens has been nominated by The National Tribute Awards for Best UK Tribute show 2017.
The rags to riches story based on the 40 hits of 80s rock ‘n’ roll icon Shakin’ Stevens stars West End and London Palladium star Rebel Dean, with a live band and projection screen.The performance includes a full concert (including the famous denims and pink jacket) as would have been seen during the late 80s including all the hits – Green Door, This Ole House, Oh Julie, You Drive Me Crazy and many more.

On Wednesday the 18th to Friday the 20th of October FMTC presents Showstoppers 2017 at 7.30pm.
Showstoppers once again present a fabulous evening of entertainment. The concert includes great choral numbers, songs from well-known shows, as well more modern numbers. Performed in The Assembly Rooms over three nights. Tickets £9.50.
On Saturday 4th November at 7.30pm returning for a 4th year, Rule The World Plus “Robbie” have been recognised as the Number 1 Take That tribute act in the world. They appeared alongside Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters and the real Take That on BBC1’s ‘The Graham Norton Show’. After hearing Dan Maines speak, a stunned Gary Barlow said in amazement “He sounds like me!” Gary then also praised the band saying “These guys are good!” This year will also feature the return of “Robbie”.
