Common Salt is a performance around a table – a ‘show and tell’. It explores the colonial, geographical history of England and India, taking an expansive and emotional time travel, from the first Enclosure Act and the start of the East India Company in the 1600s, to 21st century narratives of trade, race and culture.
After touring to museums, libraries and arts venues in London (Wellcome Collection, Battersea Arts Centre), and sold out performances in Bristol, Dorset and Devon, the final shows are here in Frome, home town of Sue Palmer, one of the artists.
Common Salt is showing on Saturday 20th October in Frome Museum with two performances, the first at 4pm and a second at 7pm. This special illustrated talk only seats a small audience around the table, with up to 17 tickets per show. Tickets are £6 full price and £4 concessions, and available online (https://bit.ly/2y0YIf2) or at Frome Museum (cash only, during opening hours).
