New Old Friends Theatre Company brings the much loved children’s classic ‘The Falcon’s Detective’ to the stage on Friday 31st October, with a free workshop to ticket holders!
Based on the novel by Anthony Horowitz, this brilliantly funny film noir pastiche follows the adventures of the hopelessly inept private detective Tim Diamond and his sharp witted brother Nick.
The cast join the Merlin theatre a month prior to the production to put on this fun-filled workshop, FREE to ticket holders of the show. Working on performance techniques and character building, this one off workshop will help kids to develop their own crime fighting detectives and characters from classic detective stories.
Incorporating drama games and improvisation exercises, children will be able to find and then present their own defective detectives or super sleuths.
The session is run by hugely experienced practitioners Fearg & Heather from New Old Friends who have performed character comedy all over the world: Montreal, Melbourne, Shanghai and Swindon.
The Falcon’s Detective shows on Friday 31st October at 3.00pm as part of the Merlin’s half term events, with the workshop taking place on Saturday 27th September from 12.00noon – 1.30pm. Spaces are limited and only available to ticket holders of the show. Book now to reserve a place.
