FROME residents are being invited to take part in a free monthly music and drama workshop, designed to improve mental wellbeing, taking place from April until December.

These workshops are free to participants and are for people with moderate to severe mental health who will be able to engage and enjoy workshops over the year. There are 10 spaces for participants for each course, to ensure a small, supportive, and safe environment.
Contact Bo Bowman-Shaw asap on bobowmanshaw@hotmail.com if you are interested. You must let him know your first choice, either music or drama, and if you are happy to do the other if the first choice is at capacity.
Bo said, “We have built transport into the budget so that there will be a taxi, free of charge, available if needed to pick up four participants from the centre of Frome and take them to the workshop venue and then drop them back to the centre of Frome afterwards. Please let me know if you need this service.
“The monthly workshops will be run by Mind Your Music and Stepping Out Theatre. Both organisations have long and proven track records of over 20 years for providing inclusive and inspirational workshops for people experiencing mental health problems.
“Our transformative workshops increase our participants’ self-confidence, empowering them to connect with the arts and the wider community.”
