Friends of the Earth Frome and The Great Planting recently teamed up with a group of children from Trinity First School to plant a range of trees in one of their playing fields in response to climate chaos.
Friends of the Earth Frome say, “A happy, productive and educational morning was shared by all and the children learned how to take care when deciding where to plant a tree so that it has enough space to spread out, and how to plant it; showing a good understanding of why trees are so important and what will need to be done about looking after them going forward.
“Friends of the Earth Frome would like to encourage more local schools to get involved with such an enjoyable activity that not only restores the planet, but also the human soul and brings people together in joyful community.
