The start of the new church year on Advent Sunday is being marked at All Saints, Lullington with a special service on Sunday 27th November at 6pm.
The reflective service will mark, through the use of music, readings and light, the anticipation of the coming of Christ at Christmas.
All are welcome to join the service in a church which has seen Christian worship since the 12th century and continues to show the light of Christ in the community.
The Church of All Saints in Lullington dates back to around 1160 and features a font and carving over the north door from that date. The Parish of Lullington with Orchardleigh is part of the Beckington benefice and is a Prayer Book parish where the Sunday services are conducted according to the ‘Book of Common Prayer’.
