From The Jam, featuring former The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton, legendary vocalist & guitarist Russell Hastings and drummer Mike Randon will be at the Cheese and Grain on Friday 8th July with their legendary ‘The Public Gets What The Public Wants’ tour.
From The Jam have gained a reputation for the kind of incendiary live performances that sealed the reputation of The Jam all those years ago with hits such as Down In The Tube Station At Midnight, Going Underground, Town Called Malice and The Modern World as well as some live favourites and songs from Bruce’s solo career.
Bruce Foxton is releasing ‘Smash The Clock’, co-written with bandmate Russell Hastings and featuring guest appearances from Paul Weller, Wilko Johnson and Paul Jones.
In it, Bruce and Russell capture From The Jam’s inimitable live energy on record. Driving bass riffs sit beneath layers of inventive guitar parts, piano, brass, and each chorus feels like it is tailor-made for a crowded venue to sing their hearts out to. Bruce says the meaning of title track ‘Smash The Clock’ is simply that “good music is ageless and timeless”.
Tickets are £21.50 each. For more details or to book go to www.cheeseandgrain.com or call 455420.
