A LOCAL Frome private garden is opening its gates to the public this month as part of the National Garden Scheme.
Describing what awaits visitors to the garden, assistant county organiser for the National Garden Scheme in Somerset, Judith Stanford said, “What a surprise is waiting around the corner, you won’t be disappointed. This is a town garden which has grown over the years to a third of an acre. There are colour-themed shrub and herbaceous borders, a pond, down to a wild meadow area leading to wonderful far reaching views, along with a well planned productive vegetable and fruit garden with greenhouse.
“An exhibition of garden photography by the garden owner from near and far is displayed in the summerhouse. Two shallow steps and a small amount of gravel permits disabled access, plants for sale. No dogs in the garden please.”
The garden is at 9 Catherston Close, Frome, BA11 4HR, and is open on Sunday 11th June and Friday 16th June from 12pm to 5pm.
