FROME’S Royal British Legion Club has launched a new breakfast club as part of the new committee’s drive to make the branch more accessible to members.
The breakfast club will be held on the last Saturday of each month, the location is the Market Cross Café, commencing at 9am.
The club reports, “The first event was held on Saturday 26th February and all who attended agreed it was a good breakfast at a special discounted rate, and they enjoyed having a chat and catch up.
“The branch Chairman Richard Aspray confirmed that as well as the breakfast club to be held on 26th March, the fish and chip supper planned for January, but had to be postponed, will take ‘plaice’ (other varieties are available) on Friday 18th at Barnacle Bill’s restaurant, Kings Street, Frome, starting at 7pm, but to help the restaurant can those who plan to attend send an email to the branch secretary.
“All members on email should have received a message about the event. But if you haven’t or would like more information, please call John Rawlings on 07850 608499, or Richard Fry 07899 668433.”
