FROME Times readers have helped to raise over £1,900 for Dorothy House via our Family Messages column.
The money, totalling £1,921.50, has been collected during 2019 from donations made by readers of Frome Times and our sister newspapers, White Horse News in Westbury and Melksham News, and from £15 payment for each notice from funeral directors.
Readers are invited to make a charity donation when they run a message in our Family Messages column while funeral directors are charged £15 for funeral notices, with all the money going to Dorothy House.
Representing Dorothy House Hospice Care, community fundraiser Verity Clark said, “Thank you so much to everyone that reads the paper and has donated – the support is incredible. This money will go a long way to help patients and families that are looked after by Dorothy House Hospice Care. ”
Editor Ian Drew said, “Thank you to all our readers who have contributed to this fantastic amount. It is a pleasure to support Dorothy House Hospice Care who do such important work in the community.”
