The volunteer team at Frome parkrun is inviting people to join them for refreshments every Saturday after the fun 5k event.
People can head to the In Touch Cafe, which is based in the Frome Medical Practice, after the event for refreshments and to meet others.
Frome’s event director Em said, “The ethos of parkrun is as much about creating community and connection through activity as it is about people running, shuffling, or walking the 5km. So, we think we have a real infinity with the In Touch Cafe’s mission and values.
“Parkrun is also entirely run by volunteers and we love to hear all the wonderful stories of challenge, accomplishment and achievement that our participants share and now we can do it over a coffee and cake!
“Parkrun is a free, fun and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, or spectate.”
