CELEBRATE August bank holiday weekend at Prestbury Sportsbar in Warminster with two great acts taking care of the entertainment.
On Saturday 27th SilverTrain, a three-piece band based in Bristol perform rock, pop, blues and ska.
Formed from the ashes of rockabilly band “The Tonemasters” whom original bassist Julian Bailey and Craig were the rhythm section, SilverTrain was formed in September 2011 when they hooked up with former BlueStorm guitarist Rob Harris. A host of mainly 80s rock, pop and ska covers was created in addition to an array of rhythm and blues tracks to establish a set that caters for a very wide audience.
Then on the Sunday 28th one of the UK’s leading tributes to this rock ‘n’ roll icon, Brendan Coles’ Buddy Holly Show features all of the memorable 50s tunes including Maybe Baby, Oh Boy and many more.
Talented guitar vocalist Brendan is already known as one half of the Two Beatles. However, turn your mind back a few more years and Brendan recreates the unique sounds made famous by Buddy Holly and the Crickets.
Brendan is one of the country’s leading solo musicians and tribute artists, so make sure you don’t miss him. Admission is free on both nights.
