THE Memorial Theatre is to hold an Open Day later this month and welcomes visits from people interested in becoming a volunteer or who just want to have a look around behind the scenes.
“Would you like a tour of the Memorial Theatre?” said Humphrey Barnes, chairman of the trustees. “If so, on Saturday 25th June between 10am and 1pm the trustees and theatre volunteers will be on hand to show you around
“Your readers I am sure are aware that our theatre is run completely by volunteers. We have a great team, but we are always looking for additional help; if you feel that you would like to be a part of the successful team that has been running the theatre for the past 30 years, then do please come along and meet us.
“We would be delighted to hear from anyone who would be interested in volunteering and would like more information on the volunteer job roles.
“Anyone with a general interest who wants to have a look around is also very welcome to join us for a behind the scenes tour of the theatre. I’m sure a cup of coffee and a biscuit or two will be available!
“We have a team of stewards, box office and confectionary kiosk staff, technical/backstage and general maintenance helpers and we are always looking for new support.
“The theatre can offer you training opportunities, additional skills for your CV and a chance to meet new people and have fun.
“If you would like to find out more about the open day or you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the theatre please contact us on info@fromememorialtheatre.co.uk or you can just turn up on the day!”
