A spectacular evening filled with cabaret, comedy, burlesque and magic packed the Cheese and Grain for a charity fundraiser, ‘Going out with a bang.’
Hosted by Miss Cherry Bomb the event raised an impressive £2,300 for The Wessex MS Therapy Centre.
The highlight of the evening was a sensational and terrifying (if you were the unwitting member of the audience enduring a deflowering with a whip) performance by Diva Hollywood.
Known as the world number one whip teaser, Diva Hollywood is full of sin, sauce and seduction. With her sassy repartee, her comedic double whip tricks and wild audience interaction Diva Hollywood has become the go to name for whip-smart entertainment. Diva also suffers from multiple sclerosis.
Miss Bomb, aka Sarah Franks said, “My husband was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 10 years ago and we have been raising money for the Wessex MS Therapy Centre. Earlier this year we did the Bath Half Marathon together, which was a real test for him, but we raised £1,500 for the MS Centre.”
The Wessex MS Therapy Centre offers long term ongoing therapies for people with MS and other conditions to include cancer, muscular dystrophy, fibromyalgia, ME, sports injuries etc. The centre offers physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, reflexology, counselling and massage therapy, and is a very busy self-funding charity which relies on charity events in order to raise vital funds.
Rosie Eliot, the centre manager said, “Sarah and her husband Ben are just fantastic raising so much money for MS. The ‘Going out with a bang’ concert was great fun and Diva Hollywood, who also has MS, is an inspirational performer and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who performed and helped out on the night; it was a great success.”
