MOBIUS Loop, the popular gypsy folk band, will be gracing the stage of 23 Bath Street on 19th May and ‘local legend’ Chris Redmond (Tongue Fu) will be supporting the band.
Organisers say, “Join us for an evening of ecstatic Mayhem full of stomping rebel songs and whirling orgasmic waltzes.
“Mobius Loop create gloriously eccentric and philosophical folk stories, fusing world music and conscious rap with eruptions of free-form dance charged with an intimately powerful and intense energetic live performance.”
Chris Redmond is a Frome father, writer, musician, performer and artistic director of Tongue Fu and is supporting Mobius Loop on the night.
Chris said, “Tongue Fu is one of the UK’s leading spoken word and music projects. We mix spoken word, music, film and improvisation. We take risks together. We collaborate. We mix forms and styles. We celebrate difference and create platforms, both live and digital, for a diverse range of brilliant artists.
“Our live shows are built on one rule – there is no rehearsal. Writers (poets, novelists, journalists, comics, storytellers, rappers) have seconds to brief the band. The musicians cook something up and we fly by the seat of our collective pants. It’s a wild ride.”
8pm start. Tickets are £12 in advance and £14 on the door and they can be purchased at the eventbrite website and searching Mobius Loop, Frome.
