AMATEUR dramatic group The Woodlanders have added a Saturday matinee performance of their Variety Music Hall show, which aims to entertain and also raise funds for local charities, clubs, good causes.
The group say they are determined that everyone who would like to be part of their audience should be able to find a performance that suits them. “In response to demand we have decided to include a matinee on Saturday 9th October, at 2 p.m,” said Sandra Gaisford, Chair of The Woodlanders.
“The evening shows will be at 7.45 p.m. from Tuesday 5th October through to Friday 8th, but the 2 o’clock matinee performance on Saturday 9th means that, with the night’s drawing in, anyone who would rather not be out when it’s dark will still be able to come and see the show in the daylight.”
The group are well into rehearsals now and are looking forward to welcoming audiences back after last year’s hiatus.
“We all need a lift after the time we have been through and this will give everyone a much-needed boost. I can promise music, laughter and a few surprises.” said Sandra.
“When planning your visit to The Woodlanders show, please remember the matinee and also that our Box Office is being handled by someone new this year, Renee Cole, whose number is 01373 839008, reneecole14@ymail.com”
