Openstorytellers is M&S Frome’s Charity of the Year

Marks & Spencer Frome has announced local charity, Openstorytellers, as its Charity of the Year for 2016.

Each year, M&S stores UK-wide choose a dedicated Charity of the Year as part of their Spark Something Good commitments to make a real difference to their local community. Employees at M&S Frome voted to support Openstorytellers because of their unique work helping individuals with learning and communication difficulties to express themselves through story-telling.

The team at M&S Frome will organise a series of fundraising and volunteering initiatives taking place over the next 12 months, as well as donating food to Openstoryteller’s film night.

Simon Morris, Director at Openstorytellers, said, “We are delighted to have been chosen as the Charity of the Year for M&S Frome. As a charity, we rely on donations to keep the organisation running and a year-long commitment such as this can help us immeasurably.

“Whether the donation is big or small, every penny makes a difference, so we are incredibly grateful to the employees and customers at M&S Frome, and are excited for everything this year has in store!”
