The well renowned Opus Anglicanum is appearing at Rook Lane Chapel on Sunday 14th December at 7.30pm.
They sing a wide range of unaccompanied music with careful crafted narrated story telling. They are and have held concerts at Glastonbury Abbey and Wells Cathedral and other prestigious places.
This Figgy Pudding Concert has traditional Carols, delightful pieces by contemporary composers – Judith Bingham and Sally Beamish and music hall song, all placed in a humorous context and concluding with spoken and sung blessings on one and all for Christmas and the New Year.
Tickets are available from Roger Windley (roger.windley@frome lions.org.uk) at £20 per person and include a glass of wine/soft drink with cheese and biscuits/mince pies. The surplus funds after costs raised goes to the Frome Lions Charitable Trust, which will help many needy people and organisations in the local area. The Lions are very grateful to the Bath Building Society for their support in sponsoring this event.
