CRITICALLY-acclaimed eight-piece country and folk band ‘Police Dog Hogan’ will be playing at the Cheese and Grain in May.
Police Dog Hogan are a high-energy band combining fiddle, banjo, trumpet, mandolin, drums and guitars with knockout four-part harmonies in a fusion of country, pop, folk, and urban bluegrass.
The band, praised by critics in The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and BBC Radio 2, will be playing at the Cheese and Grain on Friday 13th May from 8pm.
Police Dog Hogan formed in 2009 playing small pub and village hall shows and are now touring the UK and regularly playing festivals – they will make their Glastonbury debut this summer.
Producer Al Scott, who has worked with Seth Lakeman, Oysterband, The Levellers, and Asian Dub Foundation, is currently producing the band’s fourth album.
Since January this year – part of a trend that prevailed through much of 2015 – all of the band’s last five shows, from London to Salisbury’s City Hall, have sold out.
Maverick magazine described their last show at the City Hall as “Pure unadulterated entertainment” and a “band really not to be missed”.
