THE next instalment of jazz at Christ Church will take place on Saturday 11th May from 3pm to 5pm.
“The multi-talented Knud Stuwe (classical guitarist, oud player, composer) and the extraordinary drummer and percussionist Dave Smith will join me (on the grand piano) to explore the improvisational style pioneered by Wayne Shorter,” says pianist and organiser Keith Harrison-Broninski.
“Wayne has developed an approach to jazz that links short, composed fragments with free-flowing experimentation. We’ll be applying this to some of his great pieces as well as to our own originals. Knud, Dave, and I are having a lot of fun putting together this set.” Entry to the event is free.
