Frome Town Robins under 10s have decided to donate their old football kits to charity for underprivileged children around the world.
The charity, Kit Aid, collects donated kits and distributes them to where they are needed, so that young footballers in less privileged areas can enjoy the game.
Kit Aid have so far donated 632,203 kits since 1998, and are sharing the passion for football globally.
The team thought that rather than keeping their old kits in a drawer at home, they would be much better used by children who need them more.
Frome Town Robins under 10s are coached by Ben Starr and Paul Whitley.
Ben Starr said, “We are really lucky to have two generous sponsors this season, one match kit sponsor and a training kit sponsor. We then realised that the old kits were no longer required. We discussed what the best thing to do with them was, and this is where the idea to donate them to charity came from. The players think this is a great thing to do!
