THE Cheese and Grain is this weekend hosting a new festival dedicated to all things Rum! Following on from the massive success of Frome Gin Festival the past two years, the organisers have turned their attention to the multicoloured tapestry that is rum for this special summer event.
On Friday 18th August the world’s premier Santana tribute, Oye Santana, plays live at the Cheese & Grain.
Every Oye Santana performance is a visual feast of lights and action that will have you singing, smiling and dancing along from the first chink of a tambourine to the explosive finale. The Latin-inspired hits are perfect to get you in the mood for the specialised rum cocktail menu on offer all night. Don’t miss Oye Santana, you will love them. Tickets are £15 in advance.
The following day, Saturday 19th August, is an absolute must for any rum lovers out there, with Frome’s first ever Rum Festival. This is your chance to sample a selection of incredible rums from around the world, as tasters alone or as part of their delicious cocktails menu. There will also be fantastic music and food on offer throughout the event – we will prove that time flies when you are having rum!
Tickets are £10 each, to include two rum tasters – but tickets are selling out fast, so booking now is strongly advised.
