CRITCHILL School is appealing for donations towards plans to redevelop their playground to suit the needs of the students.
Critchill School, located on Nunney Road, provides education for approximately 66 pupils from the age of 4 to 19 years, who have complex and severe learning needs. They have currently raised £25,188 of their target of £50,000.
The school said, “We have set up an online donation page to raise funds for a new innovative and stimulating playground, which will provide a much-needed play and learning space for our diverse student population.
“Our target may seem large, but our pupils have big ideas about the things they would like! Slides, therapy swings, trampolines, roundabouts, chill out spaces and sensory experiences are just some of the exciting ideas that pupils have put forward.
“We are going to be holding regular fund raising events during the school year and would love to encourage you to help us meet this target!
“Even a small donation could help the pupils of Critchill School to reach their fundraising goal. Thank you in advance for your contribution.
“If you can’t make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.”
To hear from the pupils themselves about what they would like to use the money for, the school has created a video. Watch the pupils’ video at https:// vimeo.com/ 372681482/ af688c0e08. To donate, visit their online page at www.gofundme. com/ f/critchill-school-playground-redevelopment.
