Selwood Academy’s year 5 children had a busy time at the end of the summer term.
They all took part in a Carnival art week with activities including circus skills, cooking, dance and art projects. The week ended with ice cream and a parade around the school.
“What a marvellous end to a successful first year at Selwood!” commented Jane Larman from the school.
The communication base at Selwood Academy also recently held a Mad Hatter’s Tea party and raised £173.55 for Why.
Helen White, fundraiser for the charity received the cheque from pupils Dylan Harris and Annabelle Taylor who helped to organise this event. Also pictured is Nikki Morgan-Nash, teacher in charge of the communication base.
The school added, “Selwood Academy is very fortunate to have the support of counsellors from Why, and we are always keen to help this fantastic charity.”
