YEAR 5 students at Oakfield Academy in Frome raised nearly £250 in a ‘Freaky Friday’ cake sale for Halloween last month.
The school’s Dawn Warren said, “Ahead of Halloween celebrations pupils were invited to come to school dressed as their favourite frightening character.
“Pupils were also encouraged to bring in creepy cakes for a cake sale. There was a marvellous selection of eyeball eclairs and corpse cakes! An incredible £248.75 was raised, and the money will be used to boost Year 5 activities and resources, and help fund an end of year trip to Cheddar and Weston-super-Mare.
“Well done Year 5 – it was an incredible day!”
