Staff at Critchill Court care home swapped their work clothes for sportswear on 30th January to take part in a treadmill challenge for their residents.
The five mile trek was mainly undertaken by the Frome home’s activities co-ordinators Sally and Leanne, who were happy to do their bit to boost the residents’ amenities fund. Residents, colleagues, friends and family members all came along to cheer them on.
The treadmill challenge raised a grand total of £305 for the residents’ amenities fund, which goes towards organising trips out, entertainment and activities for the residents at Critchill Court.
The team has planned more events throughout the year, including an abseil at Split Rock (Milton Hill Quarry) near Wells.
Speaking on their achievements, deputy manager, Victoria Hughes-Jones said, “I’m so proud of the team spirit here at Critchill Court. Sally and Leanne have done a great job in organising events to help support the residents’ amenities fund and we can’t wait to hold more events this year.”
