SILK Mill Studios in Frome will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a twist this weekend.
Somerset events company Wonky Dog Productions be will be returning for their annual takeover of the studios for the pop-up ‘Wonky Winter Wonderland’ over the weekends of 3rd and 4th, 10th and 11th, and 17th and 18th December.
Various themed events will take place including quirky market stalls, live music, food and cocktails.
Organiser Danny Rose said, “This year we will be collaborating with the South Street Kitchen who will be bringing their own delicious flavour to proceedings.
“In addition to the events, we will be hosting a series of banquet-themed supper clubs with cabaret and musical entertainment, so come along and make sure this is a year to remember!”
On Saturday daytimes (3rd, 10th and 17th December) the studios will open from 11am offering quirky stalls selling unusual gifts, Christmas trees, arts and crafts and interactive theatre workshops, breakdancing and more, before transforming into a cocktail bar in the evening with a resident crew of DJs and their brand of Wonky Disco.
On Sunday 4th December will be the Christmas market after-party with the Love Sundays team.
11th December will be a Sunday live lounge with performances from a variety of acts including Keith James and his songs of Nick Drake and John Martyn, local legend XJX, plus special guests.
On Friday 16th December the ‘WonkyLove’ team present the first of their ‘Single? Let’s Mingle!’ nights where all guests will be asked to bring a single friend for some informal fun involving music and love-themed cocktails and food to get you in the mood for romance.
Sunday 18th December is Christmas Charity Day and the Wonky Winter Wonderland closing party.
