LAUGHTER is on the menu at Frome Memorial Theatre next month, when ‘The All-Star Stand-Up Tour’ hits the stage on Saturday 21st May.
The four-man show will be ending its 36-date UK tour in Frome with live stand-up comedy from Sean Hughes, Pete Firman, Gary Delaney and Jarred Christmas.
Producer Alex Jarrett said, “These guys are real masters of the craft with over 75 years of stand-up experience between them – you won’t catch a better comedy night than this in 2016. Whether you’re a die-hard comedy fanatic or just a casual observer of panel shows, The All-Star Stand-Up Tour is a great night out.”
Sean Hughes is an award-winning comedian, writer, actor, and presenter. As a comedian, he is the youngest ever winner of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s coveted Perrier Award, and had a long stint as team captain on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks.’
Pete Firman is recognised as the UK’s leading comedian/magician, and starred in BBC1’s ‘The Magicians.’ His skill for fusing magic and comedy has made him one of the most in-demand magicians on British television, and he has also made guest appearances on dozens of popular comedy and panel shows.
Gary Delaney is widely regarded as being the most quotable one-liner comic in the country, and is a two-time Sony Award winner and a Chortle Award nominee. He’s a regular guest on ‘Mock The Week’ and has appeared on numerous other popular shows.
New Zealand’s Jarred Christmas is a comedian and actor whose ten years on the circuit have won him the Chortle Comedy Award and catapulted him onto shows such as ‘Mock The Week,’ ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks,’ and ‘8 out of 10 Cats.’
The show starts at 8pm, and tickets cost £20 each. They are available from www.fmt.website or from the theatre.
