FROME’S Cheese & Grain has some big music names coming up with Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Manfreds, The Wurzels and From The Jam all set to appear.
The Cheese & Grain is famous for providing an eclectic mix of music acts and the 2016 line is no different.
Gerry & The Pacemakers and The Manfreds make their first ever visit to the Cheese & Grain this spring.
‘Gerry Cross The Mersey’ will feature all Gerry & The Pacemakers great hits such as ‘How Do You Do It’, ‘I Like It’, ‘Ferry Cross The Mersey’, ‘I’m The One’, ‘Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying’, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ etc; along with stories and hilarious anecdotes of Gerry’s incredible 50+ years in the spotlight.
The Manfreds with Paul Jones at the helm are still one of the most popular acts on the circuit, famed for their exuberant live shows, performing classic hits such as ‘5-4-3-2-1’, ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’, ‘Sha La La’, ‘Ha Ha Said The Clown’, ‘Mighty Quinn’, and ‘Ragamuffin Man’ etc.
Amassing an amazing 25 Top 10 Hits between them, this is a rare chance to see these two phenomenal pop purveyors in an intimate venue.
Gerry & The Pacemakers are appearing on Saturday 12th March with The Manfreds on Saturday 9th April.
Then on 25th March, the West Country’s most loved cider-quaffing funsters, The Wurzels perform an Easter Scrumpy Special, where they will be joined by their greatest fans, local lads The Back Wood Redeemers.

The Back Wood Redeemers hail from deepest Somerset. They pledge to bring forth songs of dark country, twisted blues and religious fervour.
From The Jam return to the Cheese and Grain on Friday 8th July but this time on their, ‘The Public Gets What The Public Wants’ tour.
Featuring original Jam bassist Bruce Foxton, voted by NME as the ‘7th Most Influential Bass Player Of All Time’, From The Jam have been consistently selling out venues nationwide for many years now, showing no signs of slowing down.
This concert is an out and out greatest hits show, featuring fan favourites from The Jam’s extensive back catalogue.
