A CONCERT In memory of Frome man, Tony Pickett, will be held on Sunday 10th December at St Michael’s Church, Bath.
Tony, who lived in Frome, had sung in the bass section of The Bath Chorus and Bath Male Choir for the past 8 years. Following his shocking death, the decision was made to support the British Heart Foundation throughout 2017 with a series of concerts and fundraising events. BHF were selected after discussions with Tony’s partner, Ginette.
The two popular choirs will perform a concert of Christmas music starting at 7.30pm. At the end of the concert, the final sum raised will be announced by Grenville Jones the founder conductor of the choirs. Simon Kale who sings in both choirs ran the London Marathon raising £5,827 with support across all of Grenville’s groups.
Guests at the Sunday concert will include the Mayor of Bath, cllr Ian Gilchrist and Bath MP Wera Hobhouse.
