Somerset based animal rescue centre Happy Landings Animal Shelter is calling on Frome residents to only live twice, and support their forthcoming James Bond themed black tie dinner and fundraiser.
The event will take place at Frome Town Football Club on Saturday 26th November. Never say never again and order your tickets right away so as not to be disappointed!
All proceeds from the night will support the shelter’s BARK Appeal, helping to build new kennels at the shelter. Every year Happy Landings rescues over 250 cats, dogs and other domestic animals, plus a variety of farm animals as well. Animals which need to be fed, cared for and most importantly of all, found a safe and loving home.
Current facilities are over 30 years old and in desperate need of replacing. They have launched the BARK Appeal to help raise the funds for new kennels for the dogs in their care.
‘From Happy Landings with Love’ is a James Bond themed black tie dinner. There will be a three course meal, musical entertainment from local singer and DJ Tom Carpenter (as seen on BBC’s The Voice), live casino, charity raffle and auction.
Lyn Southway, Happy Landings Manager says, “Calls on our services increase every year for rehoming dogs and we are struggling to meet this demand. We desperately want to improve the facilities on site for the dogs, and the working conditions for many staff and volunteers who work so hard looking after all the animals in our care.
“We are very grateful to Frome Town FC for hosting this night for us and we hope that the people of Frome will support what is going to be a very exciting and entertaining evening.”

Tickets for the dinner are £40 each or £300 for a table of eight. They can be purchased by calling the shelter on 01749 860350.
Happy Landings is also looking for corporate partners to help sponsor the event. Sponsors will join Frome-based Farleigh Further Education College and Inlay Management Services, who have already pledged their support.
