THERE is still time to attend one of Childs Play Clubs UK free family play sessions at the HUBnub Centre before the out-of-school-club opens in September.
The last session of the summer holidays will be on Tuesday 22nd August from 12pm until 3pm. Children will need to be accompanied by and adult. There will be group games, arts and crafts, music making and the chance for children to explore wherever their play takes them.
About the out-of-school-club that opens in September, manager Vin Callan said, “I’m really excited about opening an out-of- school club that is child led, and focuses on children exploring play in their own way. Children’s play and empowering children is something I’ve always been passionate about. I’m looking forward to bringing new play experiences to the children and families of Frome!”
The after-school club offers places for children aged 4-11 years old, between 3.00pm and 6.15pm, Monday to Friday. As well as offering a wide range of play opportunities and activities, a healthy snack will be provided each day.
There will be a walking pick-up service for children attending Vallis First School, and this service will be also offered to other schools in the area depending on demand.
At the open day, there will also be the opportunity for parents to find out more and register their children with the out-of-school club.
If you can’t make it to the summer play session, but would like to register for the after-school club, you can contact Vin on 07460 253888 or email him at ukchildsplay@ gmail.com
