Frome Symphony Orchestra will be performing Beethoven’s famous fifth symphony at the Cheese and Grain on Sunday 6th November at 7pm.
The concert also includes a performance of Shostakovich’s 4th symphony, for which Frome Symphony will expand to form a huge 100-piece orchestra. Rarely performed outside the big cities, this is one of the biggest orchestral works of the early 20th century, and is awash with Russian drama and intrigue.
